NET IMPACT CLUB HOODED SWEATSHIRT ~ DESIGN UNVEILED

LAST CHANCE!!!

Order your Net Impact zip-up fleece hooded sweatshirt by this Wednesday 10/21 and

proudly represent the Duke Net Impact Club!

About the design: The Duke Net Impact Club logo will be on the front of the sweatshirt and quotes related to making an impact in sustainability are on the back of the sweatshirt. We recognize that “sustainability” is a rapidly-changing term with a number of definitions. Throughout the year and with your help, the Net Impact Club is going to try to bring some clarity as to "What Sustainability Means to Us,” the Fuqua community. The design of our sweatshirts is the first step, utilizing famous quotes that resonated with the cabinet. The quotes make up the iconic, concentric rings of the Net Impact logo on the backside of the sweatshirt.

We worked hard to bring you a fun, new design. Please show your support for the Net Impact Club and for promoting sustainability by placing your order via the google doc. We will place the order on Thursday morning, so make you fill out your name and size by 10pm on Wednesday, October 21st. The cost will be $30 per sweatshirt.

PLEASE NOTE: The exact colors of the design are subject to change (we are hoping to use the Net Impact blues, but this is subject to the vendor).

Please sign up here if interested and you will receive the final design of the hooded sweatshirt before you commit to the order. (http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AkT1--GWd5lGdG1jZzNHN3EwZ1I0VWhRNVpIRThDNXc&hl=en).

Career - FY Job Search Resources/Time Line
Dear FY's,

Here is the job search timeline we presented at the Town Hall Meeting. Here are a couple things to keep in mind to help you keep your search on track:

  1. All the front-end items (Learning, Networking, Interview Prep) is happening now regardless of whether you are looking on- or off-campus. Concentrate on these now.
  2. The off-campus search is longer. It will be getting busy just as the on-campus search is dying down. Be patient and proactive.

Some additional concerns you may have are addressed below:

- Can I start coming Job Search Teams after fall break?
Of course! Expect an email after finals that will review what we've done so far and the upcoming schedule. Everyone is invited.

- Do Job Search Teams only apply to social sector and non-profit jobs?
The schedule is set to follow milestones for the off-campus search. The skills, though, are transferrable. These are working sessions where you can schedule a time each week to do those tasks that are really easy to put off otherwise.

If you have any questions, feel free to get in touch with Teddy Salgado (teddy.salgado@fuqua.duke.edu).

Please review the attached file.
